Lost Mine Trail
The trail climbs to the motel parking area where you will be shuttled to the trailhead. The first part of the trail features more gentle slopes. The “Lookout” is a great place to rest as the trail gets steeper from there.
The trail ends at a rock that juts abruptly upward to a point. Rest and enjoy the magnificent views of Casa Grande Peak and Upper Pine Canyon.

Climbs 5,600' to 6,850'.
This challenging trail is well worth
the stunning vistas and you will pass through some of the lushest environment in the Chisos.
Great views of mountains and desert. Keep lookout for the “Boot” formation.
17km loop via Colima Trail shortcut
or 24km loop to South Rim.
Rated: 5D (Strenuous)
2,000'+ elevation gain.

In order to obtain a special-use permit from the national park service we have to obey national park regulations and not exchange money in the park. That means you must register by mail. Registrations must be postmarked by September 16, 2016.
